Charlie has had a very busy March. He gained 2 teeth, started crawling, visited with grandparents and an uncle, and last but not least, was baptized. Here are a couple from his baptism celebration. More to follow...

Charlie loves his Dad!

He loves the stuffed gorilla...Nat named him Eddie...

and loves watching Baby Einstein (we try not to overdo this)...

Charlie took the new seat on a "test drive" in the dining room.

His feet are far more interesting to him than his new ride!

This is one of our favorite pictures of Charlie - it was taken by Hannah a few weeks ago.

Sorry it has been so long without blogging...we have had problems with our blog. Here is a picture of Charlie from a few weeks ago when we went out to breakfast with him. He likes sitting up in the high chair and looking around.

SNOW DAY II, 2007

We had another snow day in our area. We took Charlie for a walk in the neighborhood. He was definitely warm enough...he fell asleep before we made it home. (see 2nd picture)

Charlie has learned to grab his feet. It seems like it is a lot of fun for him. He also likes to suck on his toe, which is pretty funny. I will try to get a picture of that soon.

You know how women are supposed to sometimes ask men if a dress makes them look fat? Well, whenever I see Charlie like this I imagine him asking me,

"Does this Pacifier make me look like a pig?"

Sometimes, if he is not looking, I take a voyeuristic paparazi role and get some shots Charlie might otherwise not let me take. This day he was in the Jumparoo and his pants were hiked up. (The jumparoo will do that to you) Anyway, Check out the ripples.

This is charlie's half birthday. Some parents may spoil their kids with a party or some sweets or something. But not me, I am old school. On your birthday you get good stuff, but life is no bowl of cherries and my son is going to be ready for the the good and the bad. So on his half birthday he got some celebratory mashed peas for lunch. This is the first time he ever had them and, well, lets let the images speak for themselves.
First taste.
Hmmmmmmmm.
Needless to say, we still have most of a contained of peas in the fridge.
Charlie suggested I put them up on Craigslist, but I
think he will be seeing that spoonful of big green again soon.

Charlie has been working on sitting up by himself
(in his safely padded seat with boppy and duck for lumbar support)
and I think he is practicing his facial expressions. Like...

expressing disbelief

Jolly-ness

cool guy (over the shoulder look)

and of course, mischievousness .

Many people have asked how the dogs are adjusting to Charlie.
They have been great.
Miller, as you would expect, is somewhat skittish around him.

Mabel is a champ and lets Charlie pull at her fur. She seems to enjoy him.

How cute are these boys???

He is eating cereal now.
The cereal is bland but not really disgusting or anything...

..and then again, it is.
