We finally had a snow day in DC. We made it home early from work so that we could enjoy the snow with Charlie. He loved it.

Jude is starting to move around - holding up his head, rolling over, etc. He is working on sitting up by himself and most importantly, holding his own bottle :)

The blog has taken a backseat to the normal chaos of tending to children and jobs. Here are a few pictures of the boys so you can see how they are getting cuter by the day.
Jude at 6 months old. So far, he is bigger than Charlie was and a better sleeper. He is starting to make more noise and laughs the loudest at his brother Charlie. Sleeping Champion
Sadly, we didn't make it to the National Mall for the inauguration - it was too cold for these guys - but they were dressed in patriotic colors to witness the historic event on TV. We're hoping for an Obama sighting in the next 4 ...or 8 years.
Here is Charlie entertaining himself indoors playing Hide and Seek - we have been cooped up by the record cold temps. Can't wait for spring!!!
One, two, three, four, five, TEN!

It's not often enough that we see these dear friends. The Stavlunds joined us for brunch today to bring in 2009. I'm thinking that Charlie and Ella make a pretty cute couple!
Some photos from Christmas...more to come...

I love this shot of Charlie with Porter and Hunley. So cute.

While Charlie was napping today, I set up the old Jumparoo for Baby Jude. He is still kinda small for it, but he likes it.
When Charlie woke up from his nap, he gave Jude a jumping tutorial. I love the look on Jude's face in this picture - there is definitely an element of fear.
This is when Charlie decided to "push Jude on the swing."
And later, this was the scene I discovered....
Jude's personality really shines in these pictures.
Is this the smallest pea coat you have ever seen?

Charlie picked the winner in his first election :)

We were visited by Superman and a cow this Halloween. The boys had a fun time seeing the trick or treaters. Charlie even did a little trick or treating himself this year. Linda Kay came over and joined the festivities.
At this point in the evening, Charlie had one too many candies and was not cooperating with pictures.
Here is one of Nat carving the pumpkin. Try not to notice how close the knife is to Charlie's hands. Sometimes Nat and I differ on our views of "safety."
